Which ones use hot water extraction, and which use low moisture?

Stanley Steemer and Zerorez both say they use hot water extraction.

Chem-Dry uses Hot Carbonating Extraction and says it uses about 80% less water than traditional steam cleaning, in a 2017 article. Oxi Fresh uses low-moisture encapsulation and says around 2 gallons of water per home, and up to 95% less water than traditional steam cleaning. OxyMagic uses a low-moisture, hydrogen peroxide based clean.

Those water claims are each company's own. Ask for the details at your address. See encapsulation vs hot water extraction for the basics.

How long does each one say carpet takes to dry?

  • Stanley Steemer says 8 to 24 hours for carpet to dry completely.
  • Zerorez says its typical dry time is 4 to 8 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
  • Chem-Dry says a couple of hours, in an article dated August 29, 2017.
  • Oxi Fresh says most homes see carpets dry in about one hour.
  • Most OxyMagic carpets dry in an hour or two, depending on conditions.

Humidity, airflow and your carpet change every one of these. A fan and the AC help with any method. COIT makes no dry-time claim on the page we checked.

Who actually serves Blaine and the north metro?

How should you choose?

Skip the logo and look at who shows up. Many big names are franchises, so the local owner shapes your experience either way.

  • Ask who owns the location and who will be in your home.
  • Give every company the same rooms, halls and stairs.
  • Ask how each one defines a room, in square feet.
  • Ask how long your carpet will stay damp.
  • Get the full total in writing.

If you want an OxyMagic number for your list, $129 covers two rooms, 12x12 or smaller, with spot treatment and deodorizer included. Text us a picture for a better quote. Everything is situational and could be less or more.
