Book early, because the weeks before Thanksgiving get busy. A cleaning a week or two before your first get-together leaves time to spare, and most carpets are dry in an hour or two.
Fall stains
Let mud dry, then vacuum it up. Blot leaf and tannin marks with cool water and a white towel, working from the outside in. If a mark won't lift, leave it for us instead of scrubbing.
