Get your carpets cleaned a few days to two weeks before your first guests, so they're fresh for the party. Drying usually takes an hour or two, depending on the carpet and the weather. Book early, because the weeks before the holidays get busy.

Timing
One gathering? Clean a few days before. Hosting all season? Clean a week or two before the first one, and vacuum between events.
Protector for party season
Carpet protector helps spills bead up so you have time to blot. It runs $0.50 to $1.50 per square foot, and it doesn't make carpet stain-proof. Ask us if it suits your carpet.
When something spills
Blot, don't rub. Use cool water and a white towel, and work from the outside in. For wine or gravy that won't lift, leave it and call us instead of trying three products.

How much does holiday carpet cleaning cost?
The same as any other time. Two rooms start at $129, and a typical three-bedroom home runs $200 to $350.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks ahead is safe for the busy weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Should I add protector before the holidays?
It can help with spills. We'll tell you if your carpet already has a factory treatment or doesn't need it.
